Working with MovePlan since 2010, Katherine's role has allowed her to grow in her career, while taking on a variety of interesting projects.

Katherine is a PRINCE2 Practitioner/PROSCI Change Management-certified Senior Workplace Project Director and has worked for MovePlan since 2010. She specialises in workplace change projects and has delivered multi-sector projects throughout Ireland, the UK, in Hong Kong, Amsterdam, Bulgaria, Munich, Sydney and Singapore.

Katherine’s role before joining MovePlan was in account management, focused on delivering sound editing and creative writing services, whilst tailoring these to the needs of her clients. The skills she acquired were transferable for her role at MovePlan, which she took up in 2010.

“I was approached by a recruiter who was looking for candidates for a business development role at MovePlan. I was attracted by the job description as it had a nice mix of marketing and networking elements alongside the sales activity. I felt it would be a really good role for me, not only to expand my experience, but also to give me the chance to enter the London job market. If ever there is proof of a good job choice, it is this as I’m still here more than a decade later!”

As a smaller company, MovePlan’s size appealed to Katherine as she felt it would give her the feeling of being an individual within the team, as well as allowing her to see clear routes for progression.

The variety of work is also a key element to her job satisfaction. “The role can be varied, with many opportunities to work alongside interesting people, both internally and client-side. Being able to work flexibly, even back in 2010, was so appealing."

Another part of the role is the internal innovation that MovePlan invests in. “We’re currently working on an IT transformation project for the business. MovePlan is always looking to improve its internal processes, particularly when it comes to increasing visibility and efficiency and help manage time and projects within and across teams."
